What if?
What if a small cut you don’t see,
Turns into a hurt that won’t let me be?
The scar it leaves stays for long,
Under my skin, where it feels wrong.
What if words I never say,
Grow into anger that won’t go away?
Like a dark root that spreads and grows,
A bitter bloom that nobody knows.
What if I speak from my heart,
But they don’t hear or take part?
If they don’t see what I try to show,
The small signs I quietly throw.
What if things end in a way,
I never wished for every day?
If all my hopes wash away like sand,
And what I built slips from my hand.
What if I stay silent and small,
And nobody notices at all?
What if I don’t share or say,
No one cares, and fades away?
