Festival Echoed in Silent Streets

I searched for you in silent lanes,

Where crowds had passed, just joy remains.

A turn revealed your thoughtful eyes,

A stillness where the echo lies.

Perhaps there wasn’t much to say,

A single glance gave all away.

Neither spoke, no questions made,

In distance, hearts began to fade.

These coloured lights lit up the night,

But deep inside, there was no light.

Your face was near but out of reach,

A lesson only time could teach.

The festival moved on, but I

Remained behind to just ask why.

The streets were bright, my heart alone,

Your name the only thing I own.

The theme of the poem is the sole idea by Pranjal Sunaria. He writes about love & life. I have turn his ideas into words and further mending into a complete poem!
