Success: A Gradient

 What is Success? 

Success is something that we all crave for, at some moments of our lives. Craving an achievement in a particular field is what success mean to us. While picturizing success, all we can see is the final destination where we want to reach at the end and not the process which we have to follow. 

Giving success, the limelight we may realize that success is not a single step process rather a gradient of all small steps. It can be observed as a gradient of colors blended into each other with no perfect boundaries. Same as in the case of success, we may move on to the different levels of a particular field and yet not realize how far we've came on our success gradient. By imagining success as a spectrum of color, we realize that, each new effort enhances the intensity of the color by small percentage. As we add up our efforts, we move to the more intense colors of our success gradient and thus making us shine brightly on our path. We are always fascinated with the color shift in any color gradient and the blended colors help us wonder on how we shifted from one to another color. Same is the case in our lives, there may not be any finite steps in becoming a successful person, or may not be any borders/levels to cross to become successful. But, there may be small steps each time that may help us to reach the higher gradient levels on our path. While being on the path, we may not realize how far we may have come, but by looking all the way back we may observe the overall upgrade in ourselves. Whether it is a materialistic or a spiritual success path, we must have a growth mindset while being in the process. We must always see challenges as opportunities, rather an insurmountable obstacle.

Embracing a growth mindset help us change our psychological perception of achieving things and thus adding up to our improvement slowly. Thus, we must never underestimate ourselves while just being on the path before reaching the final destination. Sometimes, we fail to realize the importance of small steps we take in our success journey, even an unnoticed tiny step can lead to a massive turn in our lives.
